2 month check up: 11 lbs 14 oz, 23 1/2 inches long
8 weeks passed and it was time for mom to go back to work :( Lauren and I had alot of fun hanging out for 8 weeks and only wished it could continue on. However, she is in wonderful hands!! Grandma Lori has her 3 days and a week and my sister in-law, Crystal, has her two days a week. Starting in the middle of November, Lauren will be starting full time daycare with my aunt Jane. In the last month, Lauren has made her first trip to the Mall of America, with mom and her godmother Sam, she has spent her first night in a hotel, and has finally met most of her family (which is quite large on all sides so its easy not to have met everyone!) We also took her to the pumpkin patch, and although she was sleeping the whole time, I'm pretty sure she had fun!! I know I did :) We are still adjusting everyday to things that she needs. Lauren has BLESSED us with sleeping through the night! It started the weekend before I had to go back to work! (She must have known!) And about the time I say this she isn't going to anymore!
We couldn't ask for a better life at time point! Everyone always wants tons of money but when your baby smiles at you, there is nothing better in the world! We look forward to everything to come and can't wait to see what the future holds...

1st month of Life
Well, through Lauren's first month of life, there were alot of changes for mom and dad!! First, is the overwhelming feeling of someone depending on you 24/7.At her two week check up, Lauren was up for 9 lbs 14 oz, up about a pound and a half! The doctor said everything looked wonderful and that she was doing great! Lauren has been a wonderful baby! She has always been a good sleeper, about 3-4 hours at a time through the 1st month, and a good eater, we were up to about 4 oz by 4 weeks old! Lauren did have some acid reflux troubles and we had to switch her formula and she started taking Zantac and she was a completely different baby and life was much easier for mom and dad! She celebrated her first Labor Day weekend by camping with mom, dad, grandma and grandpa felix, godmother Sam and her great aunt Jane and great uncle Brian. It was a very cold weekend but she sure was a trooper!! Also, Lauren and mom had their first weekend with daddy not being home due to bow hunting! We survived and spent alot of time with grandma!
Lauren Rose
Well, I have broken down and decided to start a blog so family and friends can share in the ups and downs of our new life with our wonderful baby!
On Monday, August 9th, Nate and I went to our 40 week appointment. The doctor said everything was coming along great and with my due date the next day. Aug 10th, she wanted to plan ahead and schedule and induction for me for later in the week incase I didn't have the baby on my own. We scheduled my induction for Friday the 13th ( I know what some people are thinking, but good thing I am not supersticious! ) and went on with our day. I was off of work already that week so we just thought we would relax for the week and see what happens. Well, Tuesday came and went and so did Wednesday and Thursday! I sometime felt like I was having some contractions but later, feeling what they really feel like, realized I wasn't! So, we went in for our scheduled induction at 7:00 am on Friday Aug. 13th. They checked me in and did all they needed to do and started my pitocin arounf 8:30 a.m. By 10:30 I had progressed to being dialated to about a 5/6 and they decided to break my water. At about 12/12:30 I couldnt take the contractions so I had an epidural, which Nate had to step out for because he couldn't stand seeing the needle stuck into my back, and then by 6:30 I was dialated to a 10 and ready to push!! At 8:15, our beatiful baby girl came into the world!! Lauren Rose weighed in at 8 lbs 6 oz and was 20 & 1/2 inches long and as healthy as can be!
